Waterford is a small beautiful country town surrounded by agricultural land, large historic homes and churches, and beautiful antiques shops. Waterford North Conservation Area has 3 unique ponds with camping and fishing. The Waterford Heritage Trail, a section of the Trans Canada Trail is nearby, Black Bridge, a 166-metre long bridge with panoramic views. The Waterford Rail Lands Re- Development Committee, is transforming the abandoned railway lands into an attractive functional recreational area.
It is home to an annual PUMPKINFEST weekend, featuring a 1,500 carved, lit pumpkin pyramid, decorated homes and businesses. A parade, spook house, The Marketplace, car show, sit-down meals, amusement rides, fireworks display and more round out the event.
